GMO “Bioengineered Food” Disclosures – A Guide to Ensuring Labeling Compliance
The National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard Law was enacted by Congress on July 29, 2016. Under the law the USDA was given two years to establish the standard and procedures necessary for implementation of the law. By the date of this event that two-year deadline – July 29, 2018 – will have passed and companies will be in the midst of revisiting manufacturing and labeling protocols to ensure compliance with the new law.
